Dr. Greenwood, who retired from the University of North Carolina (UNC) School of Medicine in 2023, continues to serve as co-director of the UNC Neurofibromatosis Clinic, underscoring his enduring commitment to patient care and innovation.

Joining UNC in 1977 after completing his pediatric and neurology training at Washington University in St. Louis, Dr. Greenwood served as Chief of the Division of Child Neurology and Program Director for 33 years. Under his leadership, UNC became a national leader in child neurology training and care.
