New York City, New York Nov 12, 2024 (Issuewire.com) - After nearly three decades of unwavering commitment to womens health care in Georgia, Dr. Michael C. Scott, MD, FACOG, stands as one of Atlantas foremost OB/GYN physicians. At OB/GYN of North Atlanta, he provides comprehensive primary health care services to women of all ages, from teenagers to seniors, ensuring every woman receives the individualized attention and preventative care she deserves.

Dr. Scotts extensive expertise encompasses full-spectrum prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum care. He also specializes in innovative menopause management, offering options such as bio-identical hormone replacement therapies, including pellet therapy. His compassionate approach and personalized care make him a trusted provider for both low and high-risk obstetric patients, including those with complex medical conditions like diabetes, chronic hypertension, and advanced maternal age.

A graduate of the University of Kentucky and the Medical College of Georgia, Dr. Scott completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Cincinnati Hospital.  He began his formal practice in Atlanta in 1991, driven by a personal experience that influenced his career path. After witnessing his mothers battle with endometrial cancer, he was profoundly inspired by the gynecologic oncologists who cared for her, leading him to pursue a career dedicated to womens health.

Throughout his career, Dr. Scott has held several prominent positions, including medical director of the Atlanta Women's Research Institute, president of the Atlanta OB/GYN Society, chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northside Hospital, and MCG clinical adjunct professor of AU/UGA Medical Partnership. His dedication to the field is recognized through his status as a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a member of both the Georgia OBGyn Society and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.

Dr. Scotts passion extends to gynecologic surgery, where he employs advanced laparoscopic techniques to perform complex cases with minimal invasiveness. Over the past 30 years, he has honed his skills through countless vaginal, abdominal, and laparoscopic surgeries, ensuring optimal outcomes for his patients.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Scott has devoted his time to humanitarian efforts, completing over 20 mission trips to countries such as Ghana, Brazil, and Ethiopia, among others, since 2004. These trips have allowed him to extend his level of care to underserved populations around the globe.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Scott has been an active member of his community, coaching youth sports at Dunwoody United Methodist Church, Murphy Candler, and All Saints Church. He is married and has two sons, both pursuing careers in healthcare. In his leisure time, he enjoys outdoor activities, fly fishing, traveling, reading, and spending time with his family.

With a legacy built on compassion, commitment, and physician excellence, Dr. Michael C. Scott is dedicated to providing the best possible care for women throughout Atlanta and beyond.
